THE INVENTION CONCERNS ELECTRIC ROTATING MACHINES. TO DETECT THE EXISTENCE OF A CROWN DISCHARGE IN A NOTCH OF THE STATOR OF AN ELECTRIC MACHINE, AN ANTENNA 11 IS MOUNTED ON ONE OF THE POLES OF THE ROTOR 10 OF THIS MACHINE. THIS ANTENNA RECEIVES THE HIGH FREQUENCY SIGNALS RESULTING FROM A CROWN DISCHARGE, AND TRANSMITS THEM TO AN OPERATING DEVICE 18 VIA A ROTATING TRANSFORMER WHICH INCLUDES A ROTATING COUPLER 14 AND A FIXED COUPLER 16.
