titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR OBTAINING ALCOHOL FROM STARCH AND RAW MATERIALS CONTAINING STARCH
abstract Process for obtaining alcohol from starch and raw materials containing starch. A suspension of starch or raw materials containing starch is continuously introduced into a homogenizer at the same time as a supply of steam, in order to effect gelation by means of an enzyme, then the starch is left to starch. starch fluidize and pre-saccharify and finally, the starch is degraded to glucose by another addition of enzyme, whereby a sweet wort is obtained which is then fermented according to methods known per se. Application to the production of alcohol from starch, continuously and with less energy consumption.
