MONOCLONAL ANTI-LEISHMANIA ANTIBODIES, SECRET HYBRIDOMAS THEREOF, LEISHMANIA ANTIGENS RECOGNIZED BY THESE ANTIBODIES, PROCESS FOR OBTAINING AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF |
abstract |
THE INVENTION CONCERNS HYBRIDOMAS PRODUCING MONOCLONAL ANTI-LEISHMANIA ANTIBODIES WHICH ARE CHARACTERIZED BY THEIR ABILITY TO INHIBIT INFECTION OF SARCOMATOUS CELLS BY THE PROMASTIGOT FORMS OF ONE OR MORE SPECIES OF LEISHMANIA, WHEN IN CONTACT WITH THE SARCOMATOUS FORMES, WHEN IN CONTACT WITH THE SARCOMATOUS FORMES, WHEN THE SARCOMATO CELL PROMASTIGOTES PRE-INCUBATED WITH THESE MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES UNDER CONDITIONS WHICH, IN THE ABSENCE OF THE SAID MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES, WOULD LEAD TO A HIGH PARASITEMIA IN THE SAID CELLS. THESE MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES AND THE PARASITE PROTEINS WHICH THEY RECOGNIZE CAN BE USED IN LEISHMANIOSIS DETECTING OPERATIONS. |
