The present invention relates to a process for preparing an extract of Serenoa Repens, characterized in that the soluble fractions of the drupes are extracted with a solvent of general formula: R-CO-NH-CH2 -CH2 -OHin which R represents a C1 - 4 alkyl radical optionally substituted with one or more hydroxyl groups; mixed optionally with a second solvent chosen from water, lower aliphatic alcohols and their mixtures, so as to obtain at least about 8% of lipid fractions, practically devoid of odors. The present invention is most particularly useful in cosmetology and dermatology for the treatment of seborrhea. |
