The invention relates to a prosthesis for intervertebral discs, intended to be substituted for the fibrocartilaginous discs providing the connection between the vertebrae of the spine, and its implantation instruments. The prosthesis consists, mainly, of two plates (110, 120) each provided with anchoring fins (1110, 1210), separated by an articulation member (20) consisting of a spherical cap (21) based cylindrical (22), of the same diameter, produced in the upper face of the lower plate (120). Each of the plates (110, 120) has, on the rear, threaded orifices (115, 116, 125, 126) arranged parallel to the anchoring fins (1110, 1210). Applications: spinal surgery. |
