Water-soluble melanin dye polymer, characterized in that it is obtained by oxidation reaction using an oxidizing agent in aqueous medium of an indole or indolinic compound in the presence of a water-soluble anionic, cationic, amphoteric polymer or nonionic and by separation of the melanin dye polymer resulting from filtration and precipitation or filtration and lyophilization. This coloring polymer can be used in cosmetic compositions for making up or coloring the hair or the skin. |
