abstract The invention relates to a measuring device (1) for an oscillating piston liquid meter (3) comprising: a hollow chamber (2) pierced with two openings (13, 14) and limited by a cylindrical side wall (4), a bottom (5), and a cover (6); a piston enclosed in said chamber (2) and kept movable, along a partition (12), around a well (7). It is characterized in that said measuring device (1) further comprises at least one groove (21, 22), formed at the corners formed between the bottom (5) and the side wall (4) of the chamber (2) or the well (7) or the piston (3), which opens into the hollow of the chamber (2), in a space formed between the well (7) and the side walls (4), and which is intended to receive deposits particles introduced into said device (1) by the liquid to be counted. The invention applies in particular to the metering of water.
