| abstract |
The present invention relates to a chromogenic substrate for detecting the presence of enzymatic activity of at least one enzyme. It also relates to a method of using such a substrate. The invention is characterized in that the substrate consists of at least two molecules, a first molecule consisting of a non-chromogenic marker part associated with at least one specific part. target of the enzyme and a second molecule consisting of another non-chromogenic substance, and that the non-chromogenic marker part, when released, reacts with the second molecule to form a chromogenic molecule.
