abstract | The invention relates to a non-linear resistor.It relates to a non-linear resistor which comprises a sintered body (1) containing zinc oxide as the main ingredient, a highly resistive layer (3) placed on a lateral surface of the body sintered (1), and an electrode (2) disposed at the upper and lower surfaces of the sintered body (1). The distance between end portions (4, 5) of the electrode (2) and the non-linear resistor is between 0 mm and the thickness of the highly resistive layer (3) increased by 0.01 mm, and the highly resistive layer (3) contains, as a main substance, an amorphous or non-amorphous polymeric substance, a glassy compound, an amorphous mineral substance, a crystalline mineral substance, or an organic polymeric compound.Application for protection against overvoltages. |
