ALLOY STEEL RECYCLING PROCESS |
abstract |
The subject of the invention is a process for recycling the scale of alloy steel consisting in mixing these scale with silica and a carbonaceous reducer in order to obtain, in an electric arc furnace, a ferro-silicon containing more than 40% of silicon. , containing the alloying elements of the steels, and using this ferro-silicon as a treatment agent and source of alloying elements during the development of these steels. It also relates to a ferro-silicon containing from 40 to 80% of silicon and from 1 to 5% of chromium. The process leads to a high recovery yield for the alloying elements like chromium and nickel. |
