IMAGE RECEIVING SHEET HAVING A POROUS LAYER |
abstract |
Disclosed is an image-receiving sheet. It relates to a sheet having at least one porous layer which contains an organic acid having a solubility of 0.01 to 2 g in 100 g of water at 20 degrees Celsius. It forms a laminate in which the porous layer is formed on at least one side of a substrate, or a porous support. Organic acid is an aromatic polycarboxylic acid. The average pore size of the porous layer is between 0.005 and 10 m. The porous layer contains 1 to 100 parts by weight of the organic acid per 100 parts by weight of a hydrophilic polymer. The hydrophilic polymer is formed from at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of a derivative of cellulose, a polymer of the vinyl series and a polymer of the polysulfone series. Preferably, the porous layer has a structure formed by the separation of microphases following phase conversion. Application to image receiving sheets suitable for inkjet recording. |
