titleOfInvention AUTOMATIC PRIMING DEVICE FOR FLUID SAMPLING RODS
abstract The invention relates to a device for allowing the automatic priming of suction pipes (103) of a liquid and a gas, the lower end (109) of which is immersed in said liquid. The rod or rods are provided with one or more orifices (107, 108) of suitable diameter and arranged at substantially regular intervals in the longitudinal direction of the rod in the area between the highest liquid level before pumping and the end of the cane. At least one of said orifices (107) is located above the highest liquid level (105), this before pumping. The rod or rods are connected at their upper part to a network of pipes (115) at a point the pressure of which is lower than the pressure prevailing at the lower end of the rod (109). The two-phase mixture thus created in the suction pipe has a density lower than that of the liquid, which facilitates its ascent in said suction pipe.
