abstract The present invention relates to a system for using a computer as a server for televisions. It consists of a module (4) connecting to the decoder (1) of the television set (2) and to the computer (3) by digital type links, and comprising a micro electronic component (5) with advanced filtering and an interface making it possible to control the resources of the computer from the decoder thanks to specific software embedded in the latter. The invention relates to the reception on a television set of information of all types, and in particular of broadcasts or data using coding by "packets" consisting of a set of information conveyed in blocks in a network, whether the latter is terrestrial, cable or satellite.
