PROCESS FOR PREPARING DIFFERENTIATED AVIAN CELLS AND GENES INVOLVED IN MAINTAINING PLURIPOTENCE |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for preparing differentiated avian cells from cultured stem cells. Genes involved in the maintenance of pluripotency of avian stem cells have been identified and cloned. By inhibiting the expression of these genes in stem cells, they lose their pluripotency characteristics and engage in a differentiation pathway. These differentiated cells obtained in vitro can serve as host cells for pathogens, especially viruses, and thus be used for the production of anti-viral vaccines. |
