titleOfInvention METHOD AND AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR ASSISTING THE PROGNOSIS OF ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, AND METHOD FOR LEARNING SUCH A SYSTEM
abstract The invention relates to a method and an automated system for assisting the prognosis of progression, and assistance with diagnosis, of Alzheimer's disease for patients with mild memory impairment, or MCI (for "Mild Cognitive Impairment"). . It also relates to a method for learning such a system relating to the identification of discriminating regions in the brain and the use of these regions to refine the assistance process from new known cases.Invention uses imaging data (PET or TEMP) representing brain activity in a plurality of spatial areas (voxels). The method then comprises a normalization processing of the image data, and an analysis of the values of brain activity recorded in a selection of voxels forming at least one predetermined discriminant region, defined by its coordinates within a spatial reference system. The invention may also include a combination of the imaging results with the results of one or more cognitive tests.
