| abstract | The invention relates to a method of reducing granules of elastomeric material to a microabsorbent powdery product, the process comprising the steps of: - subjecting the granules to both repeated pressure and shear by introducing the granules between two discs ( 4, 5) arranged to rotate relative to one another; - control the pressure to which the granules are subjected by adjusting the spacing between the two discs; - control the frequency of the shears to which the granules are subjected by adjusting the relative speed of rotation between the disks; - Check the temperature in the inter-disk space to prevent heating of the pellets. The invention also relates to a device for reducing granules of elastomeric material in powdery product applying, a powder obtained by such a method and a method of using such a powder. |
