abstract The invention relates to a container of a thermal storage system for receiving thermal storage material between inner walls of the container (MB). The container advantageously comprises spacer elements (GR), anchored to the inner walls (MB), to limit a stress exerted towards the outside of the walls. Advantageously, these spacer elements may comprise grids (GR) each retaining a part of the material, for example a bulk thermal storage material, to uniformize the distribution of the material in the container, and hence limit local stresses likely to work outward from the walls (MB).
