Lubricant compositions for use with compressed air tools comprise (a) 25-80 vol. per cent of a diester formed from a C6- 11 aliphatic monohydric alcohol and a C6- 10 dibasic aliphatic or cycloaliphatic carboxylic acid, and (b) a mineral oil of spindle type having a pour point below -30 DEG C. and a viscosity at 20 DEG C. of at least 35 cst. A typical diester is di-(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate, and lecithin is mentioned as an optional additive. |
