titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for controlling the temperature in a room
abstract 1,058,166. Thermal switches. INGENIÍRSFIRMAN NILS WEIBULL A.B. April 7, 1964, No. 14294/64. Heading H2B. [Also in Divisions F4, G1 and G3] In the apparatus (21) air from both sides of a heat exchanger situated in an air duct enters chambers (22A, 22B) and the arms of the bimetal elements in each chamber converge on heating and vice versa. The free arms of the elements are connected by respective links (26A, 26B) to one end of respective levers (28A, 28B) with common pivot (27). When the mean of the air temperatures on both sides of the heat exchanger is at a predetermined value neither of the connected contacts (29A, 30A) on lever (28A) are closed against either of the contacts (29B, 30B) on the arms of lever (28B). When the mean air temperature rises above the predetermined value the contacts (30A, 30B) close and activate means to decrease the temperature of the water in the heat exchanger. A decrease in the mean temperatures closes contacts (29A, 29B). In a further embodiment the chambers are superposed and micro-switches of push-button type replace contacts (29B, 30B) and a conical member replaces contacts (29A, 30A) and is axially adjustable on the lever (28A).
