abstract | 1,126,635. Spring clamps. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. 14 Dec., 1965, No. 52992/65. Heading E2B. [Also in Division H2] A spring-clip end-terminal or flexible tube closure device has an arc portion F which may be closed to grip a terminal or close a tube by moving the arms A, B of the clip together to lock a bent portion D of one arm behind a step portion E, L of the other arm. A flexible wire 2 may be soldered to the clip. In a modification. Fig. 6 (not shown), for interconnecting two conductors, two clips are inverted with respect to one another and are integrally formed with a common portion (E). In a further modification, Fig. 8 (not shown), a wire is led in through a hole (G) in the arc F and clamped between the arms A, B, while in a still further modification. Fig. 11 (not shown), the ends of the arms A, B. are formed as interlocking arc portions (H, K). In a still further embodiment, Fig. 12 (not shown), the arm A is extended through a second arc (P) to a second arm (M) joined to a third arm (N) by a third arc (Q), and in the locked position the third arc (Q) encircles the arc F. Beryllium copper or brass strip may be used to make the clip. |
