The insole of the parent Specification, which consists of a forepart portion joined in overlapped relationship with a backpart portion by means of extensible material interposed between the overlapped margins of the portions, is modified by joining the overlapped margins with an adhesive composition which is extensible. The adhesive composition may be a polyisobutylene, polyvinyl methyl ether, unvulcanized plasticized natural rubber of plasticized thermoplastics such as ethyl cellulose and poly-acrylates.
