abstract | 1,225,980. Powder developer. RANK XEROX Ltd. April 16, 1968 [April 17, 1967], No. 17877/68. Heading G2H. An electrostatographic developer mixture comprises toner particles and carrier beads comprising a homogeneous glass composition comprising (i) 10-40 % SiO 2 (ii) 4-50 % BaO and (iii) 15-40 % TiO 2 . Other oxides which may be present are ZrO 2 , up to 5% alkali metal oxide, PbO, B 2 O 3 and CaO. The toners specified include pigmented gum copal, gum sandurac, rosin coumarone indene resin, asphaltum, uintate, phenol formaldehyde resin which may be rosin modified, methacrylic resin, polystyrene, polypropylene, epoxy resin and polythylene and a mixture of carbon black, styrene-n-butyl methacrylate copolymer and polyvinyl butyral. |
