1283737 Catalysts NATIONAL DISTILLERS & CHEMICAL CORP 13 Aug 1969 [4 Sept 1968] 40438/69 Heading B1E [Also in Division C2] A supported metal catalyst is prepared by contacting a porous support which has been impregnated with an alkaline solution and which is 25-90% saturated with water or an alcohol with a solution of at least one compound of at least one metal selected from Pt, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ir, Os, Re, V, Ti, W, Mo, Au, Ag, Co, Ni and the lanthanide metals and converting the deposited compound or compounds to the metallic state. The solution may additionally include at least one compound of at least one metal selected from Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, Cd, Sn, Pb, Al, Hg. The solution may be spray-coated onto the support. The support may be alumina, silica, carbon, &c. |
