Compounds I are claimed per so and are made by treating the corresponding 2-hydroxy compound with R 1 COOH in pyridine and p-tosyl chloride. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising 2-(6- methoxy - 2 - naphthyl) propionic acid when prepared as described above, together with an excipient are used in treating inflammation, pain and pyrexia. |
