1325093 Laminates BELLS ASBESTOS & ENG PTY Ltd 19 April 1971 [16 April 1970] 21362/71 Heading B5N [Also in Division E1] A slip-joint element having a laminate construction comprises two spaced-apart parallel elongated strips 12 of rubber faced by a common strip 13 of polytetrafluoroethylene, the laminate being foldable upon itself for face-to-face sliding contact, between a relatively movable load and a load support structure. The polytetrafluoroethylene may be heat welded or adhesively bonded to the rubber strips which may be of neoprene. In a preferred embodiment, the polytetrafluoroethylene projects beyond the edges of the rubber strips. |
