abstract | 1328066 Gypsum articles UNITED STATES GYPSUM CO 25 Jan 1972 3425/72 Heading B5A Gypsum articles are cast from gypsum having a particle size of under 32 Á. Particles of this size may be collected by an air classifier or sieve acting on ground gypsum before or after calcining. The particle size is preferably within the range 6-16 Á. Additives that may be incorporated into the slurry include an accelerator, e.g. freshly ground cast gypsum block or potassium sulphate, a cereal binding grain agent, e.g. starch, a filler, e.g. paper or cellulose fibre, a dispersing agent, e.g. ammonium lignosulphonate containing wood sugars, and a foam.
