titleOfInvention | Perfluoroalkyl-sulphonylaryl esters |
abstract | 1332005 Perfluoroalkylsulphonylaryl esters BAYER AG 15 Oct 1970 [17 Oct 1969] 49001/70 Heading C2C The invention comprises amino-substituted aryl esters of perfluoroalkylsulphonic acid of formula (R F SO 2 O) x -Ar(NH 2 ) y in which R F is a perfluoroalkyl group having up to 12 carbon atoms, Ar is an aryl radical, x is 1 or 2 and y is 1 or 2. These and perfluoroalkyl sulphonic acid aryl esters in general may be prepared by reacting a perfluoroalkylsulphonyl fluoride (in which the alkyl group has 1-12 carbon atoms) with an aryl ester of a silicic acid of general formula (R n SiO 4-n ) x Ar 4-n in which R is phenyl or alkyl, n is 0-3, Ar is aryl radical (including a heterocyclic radical of aromatic character) and x is 1-4 at 20-300‹ C. in the presence of a catalyst comprising a basic substance and fluoride ions. The radical Ar may be monocyclic or condensed polycyclic aromatic or heterocyclic or may consist of one or more ring systems directly connected or connected through bridging groups, e.g. alkylene groups and may be substituted, e.g. by amine, carboxyl, alkenyl and/or nitro groups. The products may be used as surfactants, foam stabilizers, insecticides and herbicides. |
