abstract | 1372307 Liquid - cooled I C engine cylinders DAIMLER-BENZ AG 24 Aug 1972 [1 Sept 1971] 39542/72 Heading F1B A cylinder head 7 is secured by studs to a crank-case 2 with an interposed non-resilient spacer plate 8. The radial flange 3 of a watercooled liner 4 rests directly on the crank-case surface 1 and a tube 17 defines a water passage between head and crank-case chambers 11 and 12. The radial tube flange 18 is sealed with respect to the head and crank-case surfaces 6 and 1 by annular seals 19 and 20. The ends 15 and 16 of the tube 17 are axially slidable in the bores 13 and 14. A metallic gasket 5 provides a seal between the liner flange 3 and the head surface 6. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification:- 1087511. |
