abstract | 1460463 Dyeing and printing polyacrylonitrile CIBA-GEIGY AG 17 Jan 1975 [18 Jan 1974] 02468/74 Heading DIB Polyacrylonitrile fibres are printed followed by steaming or are padded and then steamed the printing or padding being effected with a composition containing a cationic dye and a compound or mixture of compounds of the formula in which X is oxygen or sulphur and n is 1 or 2. The compound of the above formula may be present as 0.5% to 10% by weight based on the total weight of the print paste or dye bath, preferred compounds being 3-(2- phenoxyethoxy)-propionitrile, 3-[2-(2-phenoxyethoxy)-ethoxy]propionitrile, and 3-[2(phenylthio)ethoxy]propionitrile. |
