abstract | 1464127 Bleaching developed photographic silver halide materials FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 2 July 1974 [2 July 1973] 29379/74 Heading G2C A developed silver halide colour-photographic material containing one or more silver halide emulsion layers containing one or more oilsoluble colour couplers is bleached with an aqueous acidic bleaching solution having a pH of less than 8 and containing (i) a ferric salt, (ii) an organic acid selected from acetic, propionic, butyric, acrylic, oxalic, malonic, succinic, glutanic, adipic, pimelic, subenic, azelaic, sebacic, none dicarboxylic, decane dicarboxylic, undecane dicarboxylic, maleic, fumaric, citraconic, mesaconic, itaconic, maleic, citric and tartaric acid or a water-soluble salt thereof and (iii) a halide. The ferric salt may be ferric chloride, ferric nitrate, ferric sulphate, ferric bromide, ferric phosphate, ferric perchlorate, ammonium ferric sulphate, ferric citrate, ferric oxalate or ferric acetate. The halide may be an alkali metal or ammonium halide. The solution may have a pH less than 3. |
