titleOfInvention | Process for producing coloured resist effects with reactive dyestuffs |
abstract | 1502033 Printing cellulose with reactive dyes BAYER AG 6 July 1976 [8 July 1975] 28073/76 Heading D1B Coloured resists using reactive dyestuffs under reactive dyestuffs on cellulose fibres are obtained by applying a first printing paste or padding liquor which contains as resist agent an amino compound or salt and a fibre-reactive dye of the sulphonyl pyrimidine, sulphonylbenzthiazole, #-sulphate-ethyl-aminosulphonyl, or #-sulphonyl propionyl series, and if appropriate, alkaline fixing agents, and a further printing paste or padding liquor which contains a fibre reactive dyestuff of the halogenopyrimidine, halogenotriazine, halogenoquinoxaline and α-halogenoacrylic acid series the ability of which to react with the hydroxyl groups of the cellulose is inactivated by reaction with the amino compound or salt thereof, the print then being subjected to a finishing process. The cellulose material may be of natural or regenerated cellulose fibres alone or mixed with polyester fibres, the preferred amino compound being bis-(aminopropyl)-methylamine. The print pastes may also contain an alkali metal salt, and/or ammonium salt of a C 8 to C 22 carboxylic acid, an aliphatic C 5 to C 8 alcohol or a substantially straight chain liquid paraffin hydrocarbon. |
