This invention provides compounds of the formula I <IMAGE> where R is a group of the formulae <IMAGE> in which R1 is hydrogen, halogen or CF3; R2 is hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl, halogen or NO2; with the proviso that when R is a radical of the formulae II, III or VI, R1 is other than hydrogen; Z is a one of certain carboxylic, thiocarboxylic, carboxylic amide, carboxylic hydrazide and thiocarboxylic amide groups with the proviso that when R1 is trifluoromethyl, R2 is hydrogen and R is a group of the formula II, Z is other than -COOH, which are herbicides. <IMAGE> |
