| abstract |
The operating efficiency of a liquid transportation system, eg a pump for a local authority water pumping station is increased by the application to at least selected areas of internal surfaces of a layer of a resin which provides a smooth surface finish and which is not wetted by the liquid to be transported. The resin coating may be an epoxy resin which includes less than 0.5% by volume of a pigment. |
