| abstract |
Washing machine having a drainage pipe (6) and pump (3) which are capable of draining water from a washing tube (1,2) until a residual level (13) is reached. Extending from the intake tube (5) of the pump is a calibrated tube (11) having an inlet hole (12) which is disposed just above the residual level (13). That arrangement avoids excessive drainage of water when a siphon effect is started in the discharge conduit (8, 9) by allowing air to enter the drainage pipe to destroy the siphon effect. <IMAGE> |
