titleOfInvention Fluid control device
abstract A device for reducing the amount of water or other fluid discharged at a tap comprises a body member (1) having an inlet adapted to be connected to a supply of water or other fluid, dual outlets (8,9) through which the fluid is to be discharged to the locus, one fluid path between said inlet and said outlet is controlled by a flow/pressure responsive valve mechanism located in the inner fluid path between said inlet and outlet in that the device comprises: <SL> <LI>a. a body member adapted to be mounted on or in the outlet to the tap in the flow path of fluid through said outlet; <LI>b. a plurality of fluid flow bores extending through the body member; and <LI>c. a flow/pressure responsive flow regulating means for controlling the flow of fluid through at least some of said bores in response to the flow of fluid applied to said body member, the flow/pressure responsive means comprises of a one piece silicon diaphragm valve (10) mounted within the device. </SL> As claimed, the invention relates to : A fluid control device comprising an inlet and an outlet orifice, the inlet being Connected to the outlet by first and second flow paths, the second flow path comprising a single valve member, wherein, in use, the flow of fluid along the first flow path causes a pressure to act upon the valve member such that <SL> <LI>(i) the flow of a fluid along the second flow path is prevented by the valve member if the pressure acting on the valve member is less than a threshold value; and <LI>(ii) the flow of a fluid along the second flow path is allowed by the valve member if the pressure acting on the valve member is greater than a threshold value. </SL>
