| abstract | A substantially 360º cordless electrical connector comprises a plug connector 3 and a corresponding socket connector 4, wherein the plug comprises at least one circumferentially extending electrical conductor 127 which is located within a main body of the socket 4 when the plug 3 is located in the socket 4. The socket 4 includes at least one annular wall 547which includes at least two separate radially distorted regions 890a,b,c suitable for centring and/or aligning the at least one circumferentially extending electrical conductor 127 with the socket main body. The radial distortion regions may be radially inward and/or outward on inner and/or outer annular walls of the socket 4. The distortion portions 890 may be a chord shape or any other suitable shape and may house a corresponding electrical conductor Alternatively, there is disclosed a cordless electrical connector comprising a plug connector 3 and a corresponding socket connector 4 wherein the socket connector 4 comprises drainage means for draining liquid towards a drainage aperture provided in a base and where the outlet of the drainage means is not in direct contact with the base or is freely suspended within the base. |
