titleOfInvention | Portable energy device, method of use and manufacture thereof |
abstract | A portable stored energy device which includes a housing, at least one rechargeable battery means 20 (which may be a solid state battery such as a Lithium-ion battery), a battery charging means, an inverter means 22, and at least one electrical output member. The electrical output from the battery means is via the inverter means providing an alternating current (AC) electrical output which is below a domestic voltage level. The output voltage may be below 240V, and may be 110V. The battery means may include two 24V DC batteries. The inverter may be a step up inverter to increase the voltage from the battery means to 110V. The device may also include an electrical input member to charge the battery means from an AC power supply. This input may involve the use of a rectifier 18 to charge the DC batteries. |
