titleOfInvention | An air-gas mixture burning appliance with a gas flow distance regulating device |
abstract | An air-gas mixture combustion appliance 100 has a burner 120 associated with several air-gas mixers 118 that mix air 113 and fuel gas 117, which may be hydrogen, from a gas supply manifold 116. The gas supply manifold has a first gas flow channel 170 and several gas flow channels 180 arranged between the first gas flow channel and the air-gas mixers, and further includes a baffle 320 that regulates the gas flow relative distance from the first gas flow channel to the second gas flow channels in order to adjust an arrival time of the gas at the air-gas mixers. The arrival time may be adjusted to ensure simultaneous arrival of the fuel gas at each mixer, and the baffle may be a plate that extends longitudinally across the manifold and central with the first gas flow channel, and the baffle plate may be perforated (310, 311, 312, Fig. 4C). The arrangement reduces the risk of delayed ignition at start-up and the potential for explosion. |
