titleOfInvention Radio device with inter-processor communication circuitry
abstract An integrated-circuit device 1 comprising first and second radio systems 2, 3. The first radio system 2 comprises a first processor 6a coupled to a first program memory 6b and a first radio 7. The second radio system 3 comprises a second processor 9a coupled to a second program memory 9b and a second radio 10. The device further comprises inter-processor communication (IPC) circuitry 6d, 9d, 12, coupled to the first and second processors 6a, 9a, for providing an IPC channel between the first and second processors 6a, 9a. First software, stored in the first program memory 6b for execution by the first processor 6a, comprises instructions for causing the first processor 6a, in response to receiving a signal from the first radio 7, to send a signal over the IPC channel to the second processor 9a, which is representative of a transmission state of the first radio. This signal prompts the second processor to send a command to the second radio, preventing transmission by the second radio when the first radio is transmitting.
