Vehicle mounted system and method for distributed irritant spray |
| abstract |
The vehicle mounted distributed irritant spray system has mechanisms for mist spraying near the vehicle and the jet spraying for moderate distance covering wide area around the vehicle. The mixing of the irritant liquid with the water is accomplished in the tank by whirling jets generated through bypassing the excess pumping fluid to whirl nozzle head. Proportioning of irritant solution with water for desired irritant concentration during spraying is carried out by operating valves in the bifurcated pump suction pipelines emerging from two different liquid storage tanks and valve in concentrated irritant pipeline from irritant vessel. The pumping system has diversion feature for utilization of the pressurized water for other application like foam generation for firefighting and washing the pipe network. |
