[Class 132 (iii)] The floor b of a model stage is supported slightly above the lower arms of two permanent horseshoe magnets a<1>, a<2> arranged with their poles N, N, S, S as shown, and soft iron wires c enclosed within the fabric of the model figures or articles are positioned by the magnetic flux and are moved by manipulating a soft iron rod d under the floor below their lower ends. The flux may be generated by electromagnets.
