[Class 64 (i)] In a hot-water boiler in which fuel is supplied by gravity from a hopper 10 to a grate 3 and one of the hopper sides is formed by an inclined canopy 8 projecting from water-containing walls 5, 6 of the combustion chamber, the canopy extends over the grate and over a dead plate 12 interposed between the hopper outet and the edge of the grate. The flue outlet 13 is in the angle formed by the canopy, which may carry an inclined plate 11. A water inlet and outlet 14, 15 are provided in the watercontaining walls, which are reinforced by ribs 9. The grate is mounted on a separate casting. |
