(ii)] An appliance for excluding noise from the ear comprises a substantially circular plate 3, preferably padded with crepe rubber and supported to press against the tragus by pivotal engagement with lugs 5 bent up from an aluminium plate 2. A flexible wire 1 encircling the ear secures the plate 2 and a portion 4 bent down from plate 3 engages plate 2 resiliently.
