titleOfInvention Manufacture of dry dyestuff preparations
abstract Aqueous solutions or suspensions of soluble salts of leuco vat dye sulphuric acid esters are spray-dried. The air may be introduced at over 100 DEG C., e.g. 150-160 DEG C. and stabilizing agents may be present. In examples, (1) an aqueous solution of the potassium salt of the tetrasulphuric acid ester of tetrahydro-3,31-dichloro - 1.2.21.11 - dianthraquinone azine are spray-dried alone or with the addition of sodium carbonate and urea, with or without aqueous ammonia; (2) the corresponding 3.31-dibromo body in aqueous solution containing sodium carbonate and urea is spray-dried; (3) the sodium salt of the sulphuric ester of leuco-indigo or its tetra-brom derivative are spray-dried as aqueous solutions in presence of molasses, urea, and sodium carbonate; (4) the potassium salt of the sulphuric ester of leuco-Bz.2.Bz.21-dimethoxy-dibenzanthrone is spray-dried as an aqueous solution with molasses, urea and sodium hydroxide; (5) the sodium salts of the leuco-sulphuric esters of the following are spray-dried as aqueous suspensions or solutions containing sodium hydroxide or carbonate and in some cases urea and the sodium salt of di-n-butyl-naphthalene sulphonic acid: (a) 4.41-dimethyl-6.61 - dichlorothioindigo, (b) di - isopropyl dipyrazolanthronyl, (c) dibenzpyrenequinone, (d) 6.61 - diethoxythioindigo, (e) 1.41.11.111 - trianthrimide carbazole, (f) the alkaline condensation product from 1-(Bz.1-benzanthronyl) aminoanthraquinone. Specification 500,120 is referred to.
