Class 39(3) [Also in Group XXXVII The ends of a tubular heating element 10 for electrical cooking utensils are proofed against the entry of water during washing up by discs 17, 18 of silicone rubber or other heat resisting insulating material, the discs seating in slightly smaller recesses in a ceramic washer 16. The discs are squeezed by pressure of terminal member 11 so that disc 17 is turned about the end 25 of heating element 10 and the material of both discs is forced into the annular spaces between the threaded rod 14, terminal member 11 and washer 16. The terminal members 11 may be arranged to plug into a power socket or may be replaced by lock nuts. |
