A throw-away portable liquefied petroleum gas e.g., propane container of cylindrical form has a gas discharge valve 12 secured within an opening 5 in an end cap 3 and a pressure relief valve 21 secured within an opening 17 in an opposite end cap 15 whereby liquid petroleum is discharged through the relief valve instead of more inflammable gas as occurs when the relief valve is in the normal position. Caps 3, 15 are lap-welded to the container body 1 ; the cap 15 being recessed to form a stand. |
