A double glazed double rolling window comprises panes 3 held in profiled aluminium sashes 2 by mounting strips 5 of a plastics material or rubber, particularly foam rubber, and spaced apart by a distance frame 4 of a material of poor heat conductivity. Between each sash 2 and runner 7 are sealing strips 9 of a velour weave. The space between the distance frame 4 and the panes 3 of one sash is filled in with putty 15, and the distance frame 4 itself may be fixed to the sash either by locating strips 10 (as shown), by a single locating strip slotting into the distance frame (Figs. 3a, 3b, not shown), or by sitting in a groove in the sash (Fig. 3c, not shown). |
