A rainwater or like fitting moulded in synthetic resin has an integral protuberance (Fig. 1) formed on the outer face of the article shaped complementarily to slide or snap into engagement with a separate fixing bracket (Fig. 10) for attachment to a supporting surface. The complementary surfaces may be shaped as a tapered dovetail joint or a ball and socket and the ball may be at the end of a shank or rib (not shown). In the Specification the device is embodied in a rainwater shoe (Fig. 1), a pipe coupling, and a pipe socket. The material may be polyvinyl chloride with or without embedded fibrous reinforcement. |
