abstract The present invention relates to 3-substituted tetrahydropyridopyrimidinone derivatives of the general formula wherein X, Y is -CH 2 - and the other is -NR 1 -, R 1 H, alkyl, alkyl-CO-, tert-butoxy-CO-, aryl-CO. - and an aromatic partially substituted phenylalkyl group, A alkylene chain having at least one Z group selected from -O-, -5-, -NR 2 -, -cyclopropylene, -CO 2 -, -CH ( OH) -, single or triple bond, piperidine-1,4-diyl, 1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine-1,4-diyl, piperazine-1,4-diyl, and the like, groups formed from compounds having a ring larger than methylene, wherein the linkage to group A is via one of the nitrogen atoms in group B, and Ar is optionally substituted phenyl, indanyl, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthyl, optionally substituted bi- or polycyclic fused aromatic groups or aromatic heterocyclic 5 or 6 membered and one or two heteroatoms groups containing oxygen and / or nitrogen as heteroatoms, and which may be further annealed with further aromatic groups - and their use in the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of central nervous system disorders, endocrine disorders and sexual dysfunctions.
