The dispensing system for the additives of the present invention can be used in a wide variety of consumer products, including detergents and scavengers, room deodorants, insecticides, carpet cleaners and deodorizers in which the additive is protected from release to the wet or humid environment. The additive delivery system of the present invention is specifically a particle having a porous carrier core in its pores containing an additive such as a perfume; and the core comprises a coating that is soluble or dispersible in encapsulating water but insoluble in oil, such as a starch or modified starch coating. The dispensing system of the present invention can be used to dispense laundry detergents either into or out of the wash cycle. The laundry additive-releasing particle of the present invention releases the perfume to the fabric surface during washing. SHE |
